Ohio Association of Alcohol & Other Drug Addiction Counselors
As an affiliate of National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), we embrace the Four Pillars of the organization that define the essential roles and reasons for us to exist. They are:

1.Professional Development – Education and Training, Mentorship, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics and Outreach to students and new professionals are key elements for continuous development of our profession.

2.Public Engagement – Being Advocates, Educators and Policy Partners requires that we have a well informed voice on who we are, what we know and what we do

3.Professional Services – Providing resources, products, and having access to information and speakers are essential in ensuring that our association meet the needs of the communities and clientele that we serve.

4.Communicate the Mission – NAADAC’s mission adopted in 1998 states that their job is “to lead, unify and empower addiction focused professionals to achieve excellence through education, advocacy, knowledge, standards of practice, ethics, professional development and research.”
